Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the KartBol app, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.

1. Data we collect

When you create an account we collect your username, email address, password (stored only as an irreversible hash) and your date of birth for age verification. You can optionally set a display name on your profile. Playing the game produces gameplay data: your league memberships and the names of leagues you create, your prediction cards and placements, points, coin balance, and the cosmetics you pick (calling card, league banner). We also store your device's push notification token and app language so we can send you notifications. We do not collect location data, we use no advertising or product-analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across apps; Firebase Cloud Messaging is used solely to deliver those notifications.

2. How we use data

We use your data only to run the game: operating your account, generating weekly packs and scoring, showing league standings, and improving the service. Your email address is used only for account matters (for example a password reset code). We do not sell your data or share it for marketing.

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the service: Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases and notification delivery), Google — Firebase Cloud Messaging (notification delivery only) and Google Sign-In, Cloudflare (image storage and delivery) and Hetzner (server hosting in Germany). These providers process your data only on our behalf and only for those purposes. Match fixtures and scores come from Sportmonks; no personal data of yours is sent to Sportmonks.

3. Retention and account deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time inside the app via Profile > Delete Account; this irreversibly removes your account, personal details, cards, predictions and league memberships. Leagues you own are handed to their oldest member; if you were the only member, the league is deleted too.

4. Data security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Passwords are irreversibly hashed, session keys are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device, and all sensitive operations are validated server-side.

5. Age limit and children

You must be at least 13 years old to register for KartBol; this is verified with your date of birth at sign-up. KartBol is not a gambling or betting app; there are no real-money deposits, withdrawals or cash prizes.

6. Your rights

You can view your information and update your display name from the Profile screen, and you can have your data removed by deleting your account in-app. For access, correction or deletion requests under applicable data-protection law (including KVKK and GDPR), contact us.
